HOW TO SEE THE DOCTOR
When you need to see a doctor phone either 72488 and 72489 - calls are answered from 08.00am.
We offer appointments up to 4 weeks in advance, together with telephone triage with a GP for urgent appointments on the day.
If you need to see the doctor urgently, you will be asked to provide a contact telephone number for the doctor to call you back to discuss your needs.
The practice does not operate individual doctor lists. Patients are free to see whichever doctor they choose within the practice. However, as a practice we would like to encourage patients to try and see the same doctor they initially consulted for a problem that continues to be on-going.
The Practice offers a small number of appointments for patients to book on-line.
The service will require you to register your e-mail address with the practice.
Patients will then receive a login account which allows them to set up a unique password—the service is called ‘The Waiting Room’ and is part of our practice appointment system.
Patients will need a unique e-mail address for each user—husband and wife / parent and child cannot share an e-mail account as the details must be unique to the individual.
We will initially offer a small number of GP appointments up to 4 weeks in advance, these will be available for on-line booking only until 24 hours prior to the appointment time.
The system will initially request the appointment on the patients behalf and then patients who are successful with their booking will receive an e-mail confirmation of their appointment date and time.
This system can also be used to request repeat medication.
If you are interested in registering for this service please supply your unique e-mail address to the receptionist and then await your activation e-mail from ‘The Waiting Room’.
If you have not seen a GP within the preceding 12 months and wish to do so the surgery will provide you with an appropriate appointment at your request.
If you cannot keep an appointment please remember to cancel it.
